People who would not normally come, came to hear the music...What meant the most to me, was the invitation. The Spirit of God was there and seven souls were won to the Kingdom of Heaven that night. Steve I know you said you get excited when someone find the Lord so get
ready to be excited....
The Sunday night of the concert there was a young boy sitting in the front
of the church (you had a little interaction with him). This boy had just
started coming back to church because the girl he liked was coming. Anyway,
I noticed that he had stopped watching you and Apryl and that he was reading
the pew Bible....next thing I know, he is putting a circle
around something. I leaned up and told him he couldn't write in that one.
After the concert, he was walking out with that same Bible. I said he
couldn't have that one, but if he asked Pastor David (Children's Pastor and
my husband) he would give him one because Pastor David keeps some in his
office. So, David gave him one and asked Ian if he was going to read it.
Over Ian's head I said "yes." On the way out of church Ian asked David what
it took to become a Christian. David kind of put him off at that point.
Well, after taking all the kids home except for our 2, David question Ian
about what he had asked. David told Ian what was involved and then David
asked Ian if this was something he wanted to do. Ian said it was, so we
pulled the big van over and Ian accepted Christ. The girls and I were
praying for Ian as Ian was praying for himself. Ian has been reading his
Bible, asking questions and has been in church (even if his "girlfriend"wasn't).
Thank you for your testimony and your music. Sometimes I get frustrated
with the kids and I wonder if I am cut out for Children's Ministry but after
Ian and his change I'm ready for more!
